Adamawa State governor has sworn in Auwal Tukur as the new Secretary to the State Government, tuesday.
The swearing in ceremony took place at the banquet hall of Government house Yola.
Also sworn in were the Attorney General and the commissioner of justice of the state, Afraimu Jingi, Head of Service Isa Ardo and the Auditor General of the state, Usman Ahmed.
Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said their appointment came at the right time when the state is faced with numerous challenges.
The Governor equally expressed confidence that with their dedication and unwavering commitment to service, they will rise to the occasion and help overcome these challenges.
He therefore urged them to work tirelessly while discharge their duties, putting the interests of the people of Adamawa State first in their minds.
Speaking on behalf of the appointees, the new Secretary to the state government, Auwal Tukur expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru fintiri and the Adamawa state government for entrusting them with this significant responsibilities.
He said they will work together in order to create an environment where all stake holders will participate.
He therefore thanked the governor and the entire people of Adamawa state for giving them the opportunity to serve.
The oath of office was administered by the Attorney general of the state and commissioner of justice, Afraimu Jingu, after the Chief judge of the state, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman administered his own oath of office.
