2023 DEMOCRACY DAY CELEBRATION: Adamawa State Gov. Pardons inmates.

In the spirit of 2023 democracy day celebration , the  Adamawa State Governor,  Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri had pardon two prisoners for their good conduct.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wanosikou explained that the  prisoners, Adeola Adumjobi and Ibrahim Babale were pardoned due to their good conduct and as empowered by section 212 of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria on the Governor.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri extended his felicitation to the citizens of Adamawa state.
He said democracy is not just election, rather true democracy is  real prosperity and security which are neither simply given nor imposed from outside, but  should be built and earned within.
The Governor who expressed delight over Nigeria’s unbroken democracy since it return in 1999, he described it as the triumph of freedom.
While describing Adamawa state as a peaceful state, the governor also regretted some of the ugly happenings in the state elections where some elements tried to subvert the will of the good  people of the state.
He also commended those who stood to ensure that democracy is preserved by doing the right thing.
He therefore called on the people to imbibe the spirit they were once known for, put away sentiments and see themselves as Nigerians first for the most needed change.
