Governor Fintiri inaugurates Human Capital Development Council, with a mandate of overseeing all Human Capital Development activities in the State

Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said his administration is committed to human capital development in the state.

 

 

 

The Governor gave the indication during the inauguration of the human development council at the government house yola.

 

 

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri while performing the function said the inauguration of the state Human Capital Development Council, marks a very important step forward in the government’s drive towards fostering growth and development of the state through the empowerment and nurturing the people of the state.

 

 

 

 

The Governor stressed that , the essence of his administration’s policies, and programmes such as all- inclusive governance, security of lives and property, peace-building, payment of WAEC fees, construction of Cottage hospitals, skills acquisition for the youths amongst others are all targeted at improving the living standard of the people of the state.

 

 

 

 

While reminding the council to largely emphasize on the importance and influence of human capital development, Governor Fintiri said the inaugurated Human Capital Development Council, which will be chaired by the Deputy Governor of the state, professor Kaletapwa George Faruta will be saddled with the responsibilities of overseeing all Human Capital Development activities in the state, adding that the progress of Adamawa State solely depends on the Council.

 

 

 

 

Responding, the chairman of the council who is also the Deputy Governor, professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, thanked the Governor for finding members of the council worthy, saying they will ensure that they bring their wealth of experience on the table for the development of the state .

 

 

 

The human capital development council cunsit of five members with the Deputy Governor as the chairman.

 

 

 

Other members are the commissioner for health, Felix Tangwami, commissioner for Education, Doctor Umar Garba pella, commissioner for Budget and economic planning, Anthony Emmanuel Piridimso and the commissioner for entrepreneurship, James Iliya.
