Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has flagged off the construction of the eight-kilometre Banjiram Chikila Road in Guyuk Local Government Area.
The flag-off took place during the governor’s tour of the area, where he engaged with people at the grassroots.
Governor Fintiri also promised to construct a two and a half kilometre township road in Guyuk, describing the projects as part of his administration’s commitment to delivering dividends of democracy.
Addressing the concerns of residents of Bobini and Bodeno wards, who have lived for decades without electricity, the governor pledged to connect the communities to the national grid within six months.
He also directed the Commissioner for Water Resources to fast track the ongoing water project and assured that the second phase of the rehabilitation of the Guyuk Cottage Hospital into a General Hospital would soon commence.
Governor Fintiri emphasized that his administration would continue to govern fairly, regardless of party affiliation.
In their remarks, the Guyuk Local Government Chairman, Barrister Kasa Shalom, the lawmaker representing the area in the State Assembly, and other stakeholders commended the impact of the Fintiri led administration, particularly in Guyuk Local Government Area.
