The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, IPCR, has organised a seminar aimed at strengthening dialogue and understanding between Africa and China through scholarly exchange.
The seminar, held at Modibbo Adama University, Yola, brought together researchers, academics, journalists and other stakeholders.
The Coordinator of the Editorial Team for Peace and Conflict, Dr. Olalekan Babatunde, represented by the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of IPCR, Dr. Joseph Ochogwu, said the seminar is part of activities to promote the dissemination and distribution of the Contemporary World Nigeria magazine.
Dr. Ochogwu explained that the initiative will benefit academics and students, particularly by providing opportunities for scholarly research and publication.
One of the lecturers, Professor Ubale Yahya Jibrin of the Department of Political Science, said the seminar is designed to educate scholars and improve their knowledge by sharing experiences and skills acquired both within and outside the country.
Professor Jibrin added that the seminar will also promote collaboration and strengthen Africa-China relations through scholarly exchange.
The seminar has the theme: “Bridging Africa-China Dialogue Through Scholarly Exchange.”
