Property worth millions of naira have been destroyed in an inferno that raised down one block of seven shops in Numan local government of Adamawa state.
Deputy governor professor Kaletapwa who visited the scene described the incident as a great loss to Numan community.
Findings revealed that the fire engulfed the shops in the early hours of Wednesday.
Deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta who was on a sympathy visit to the scene encouraged the victims to see the incident as the will of God.
Having acknowledged the great damage incurred by the fire outbreak on the shop owners, She conveyed the heartfelt sympathy of the state government to the victims and the entire Numan community.
Chairman, Numan local government Christopher Sofore had earlier intimated the deputy governor about the ugly incident and the degree of damage caused by the inferno, even as he appealed for governments help to cushion the effect of the fire outbreak on the victims and the entire community.
Some of the victims who narrated their ordeal said they are now at the mercy of God for all their properties have been burnt down.
They appealed to the government to assist them in any way possible to enable them restore their means of livelihood.
