The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Gombe state Command says it recovered over 244 million naira, in over 4000 cases during the year 2023.
The NSCDC state Commandant Mohammed Bello Mu’azu stated this while briefing the media in his office on cases the command attended to in 2023.
The Commandant said the amount was recovered through anti fraud unit and accountability and transparency unit of the command and it has since been given to the right owners.
Mohammed Bello Mu’azu added that the command is free from any allegation of collecting money from either the accuser nor the complainer as the command has zero tolerance for corruption, explaining that it is the main reason the general public forwards their complain before the NSCDC.
He also vowed not to compromise any unlawful act within his jurisdiction and urged people to desist from seeking bell for criminals.
He further called on the general public to give the NSCDC the necessary information and cooperation for peace-building in the state and Nigeria at large.
