The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has issued a statement addressing recent media discussions about its leadership and administrative practices.

This is contained in a Statement by the NAHCON’S Assistant Director Information and Publications Division Fatima Sanda Usara in Abuja.

The Statement emphasizes NAHCON’s commitment to adhering to regulatory frameworks and civil service procedures in all operations.

It states that NAHCON acknowledges the vital role staff unions play in advocating for employee welfare.

However, it rejects any misrepresentations related to its interactions with these unions.

The management clarifies that the Staff Union issued an internal reminder, not a petition, regarding specific internal matters.

Addressing allegations of nepotism, NAHCON denies claims that Professor Abdullahi Saleh appointed his son as a Personal Assistant.

The Commission asserts that all appointments follow due process.

Assertions regarding retirees on the Commission’s staff list are dismissed as misinformation or misunderstanding of its organizational structure.

NAHCON encourages constructive feedback and urges media representatives to focus on factual and responsible reporting.

The Commission remains committed to facilitating a smooth Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.

NAHCON values contributions supporting its mission while maintaining the integrity of public discourse.
