NANS PROTEST: Adamawa State Gov’t calls for youth calmness and peaceful conduct

Adamawa State Government has register its profound gratitude to the people of the state for their continuous support and understanding especially during the recent nationwide protest.

 

While other states were counting their losses in terms of human lives and colossal amounts worth of property, residents of Adamawa state were celebrating and being celebrated for peace, tranquility and harmony.

 

This was made known in a statement signed by the Chief press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou and made available to newsmen in Yola the Adamawa State Capital.

 

The statement further stated that Currently, the nation  is faced with yet another plans by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to embark on another round of protests and considering the strong bond between Government and the youth, especially the students, it is  believed that the protests would be unnecessary in Adamawa State.

 

According to the statement,  government has provided free education, free school feeding, paying WAEC and NECO Examination fees, paying scholarships, donated palliative items to schools and buses to institutions to ease transportation challenges.

 

It has equally invested heavily in other sectors such as Security, Health, Agriculture, Sports, Roads/Bridges, Water supply and so on, for the benefit of the youth and their parents.

 

Government is also determined to ensure that no one is left behind and nothing is left untouched as it  urge all citizens especially the  youth, not to give room for miscreants and those that do not mean well for the  state to unnecessarily create strife and confusion.
