North East Development Commission, NEDC, has identified stronger civil-military relations, intelligence sharing, inter-agency cooperation and effective coordination as key to advancing peace, security and development in conflict-affected communities across the region.
The NEDC Adamawa State Coordinator, Khalifa Lawan, stated this when he received the newly posted Commander of the 23 Armoured Brigade, Yola, Brigadier General Adamu Abdul, during a courtesy visit to the Commission’s office in Yola.
He said stronger partnerships among relevant stakeholders would enhance peace and security across Adamawa State and the North East.
The NEDC Adamawa State Coordinator assured the Brigade Commander of the Commission’s continued cooperation in efforts to safeguard communities and promote sustainable development.
In a remark, Brigadier General Abdul appreciated the warm reception and pledged to strengthen synergy between the military and NEDC.
