The leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Adamawa state Chapter has vowed to foster unity among the faithful for harmonious coexistence of the citizenry.
The new Chairman of the Association, Reverend Dr.Joel Danjuma Manzo gave the indication immediately after the inauguration of the new officials at CAN secretariat Yola.
Reverend Dr.Manzo elected leadership took over from the previous Gambo- led Caretaker committee constituted by the national secretariat of the Association few months ago to ensure a smooth conduct of the election.
While addressing the delegates from the five blocs and local governments,Dr.Manzo commended them for exhibiting maturity that saw the peaceful conduct of the election.
He thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the National Secretariat for providing a conducive environment for the exercise.
The General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Apostle Professor Samson Fatukum who supervised the election equally commended the delegates and the christiendom for smooth conduct of the election.
The General Secretary implored them to always show love to one another by ensuring team work for the betterment of Christianity, State and the nation at large.
The outgone Caretaker committee Chairman, Reverend Gambo Bupwatda had earlier thanked the delegates, officials and the entire Christians across the state for the support accorded them while holding CAN in interim capacity.
He assured the christiendom of credible leadership prosperity.
Among the other officials that emerged during the election are; Reverend Victor Saje as Vice Chairman, Reverend Emeka Obionyo, Secretary, Reverend Gambo Bupwatda, the former Caretaker committee Chairman was returned as Assistant Secretary and Reverend Malache Wache as Treasurer.
