Nigeria @63: Gombe state speaker attributes economic successes to peaceful coexistence in the State.

The speaker Gombe state House of Assembly, Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo has attributed the immense socio-economic development recorded in Gombe state to the resilience of its people and the prevailing atmosphere of peace.

 

He stated this in a Goodwill message marking Nigeria’s 63rd independence Anniversary and 27 years of creation of Gombe state, made available to the press by the Information officer of the house, Japhet Bekeri Idi Sogi.

 

The speaker acknowledged the efforts of the founding fathers of the Nation and it’s subsequent leaders for the appreciable socio-economic and political development recorded despite the daunting challenges in its 63years tortuous journey as an independent country.

 

He particularly commended Gombe state Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for bringing Gombe state back on track on socio-economic and infrastructural development envisaged by founding fathers of the state.

 

The law maker described the bold steps taken by the Governor in addressing insecurity, poverty, hunger, poor health in addition to provision of water, agricultural inputs, qualitative Education and creation of investor friendly atmosphere as right steps towards taking Gombe state to the promised land.

 

Abubakar Luggerewo reiterated that the enabling environment for good working relationship and mutual respect between the executive, legislature and the judiciary created by Governor Inuwa Yahaya led to enormous achievements he recorded within few years of his Administration.

 

He congratulated the state Governor, his deputy and the entire people of Gombe state for witnessing the anniversary of Nigeria at 63 and Gombe at 27.

 

The law maker solicited for the support and cooperation of the electorates to the incumbent Administrations in the state and the country at large.

 

The speaker charged the people to rededicated themselves through hardwork, commitment and patriotism to attain required developmental goals so as to take the jewel state and Nigeria to the higher level of development.
