OXFAM Nigeria Interim Country Director Tijjani Ahmed identifies Participation and inclusiveness key methods of bridging gap between Policy makers and grassroot community for rapid development.

OXFAM Nigeria Interim Country Director Tijjani Ahmed has identified participation and inclusiveness as key methods of bridging the gap between Policy makers and members of the community at the grassroot for rapid development.
Ahmed made this assertion in an interview with Radio Nigeria at a two-day participatory budget preparation and community development planning project inclusion workshop for Michika Local Government area 2024 budget held in Yola, Adamawa State.
The Interim Country Director of OXFAM Nigeria, Tijjani Ahmed represented by the Acting Program Manager for Accountable Governance, Helen Akinyemi said strengthening Social cohesion through Community Development Planning is a strategy aimed at building the capacity of the rural communities through their participation and inclusion to bridge the gap between the Policy makers and members of the grassroot community for rapid development.
On his part, Program Manager, OXFAM Nigeria, Enoch Bamaiyi stressed the need to strengthen the capacity of Directors across all departments in Michika Local Government and the Local Government Administrative leadership on participation and inclusion in the project implementation processes of the Michika 2024 budget for rapid development of the area.
The Michika Local Government area 2024 budget was developed at the end of the workshop by the Directors and Local Government staff of all departments in Michika Local Government area of Adamawa State.
