Scholars urged to be mindful of their utterances this Ramada

Peace has been described as an Ingredient for Sustainable Development.

The statement was made during an annual workshop for Islamic scholars that are to conduct this year’s RAMADAN TAFSIR, organized by Jama’atul Izalatil BIDI’AH WA’IQAMATUSSUNNAH JIBWIS, Gombe state branch, held at Gombe state university multipurpose hall.

While speaking, the Gombe state JIBWIS chairman, Engineer Salisu Muhammad Gombe, said the organization conducts a review annually on what should be focused on during Ramadan TAFSIR to proffer solutions to problems being foreseen in Muslim Communities.

He then urges the Scholars to be careful with their utterances while conducting this year’s TAFSIR.

Salisu Gombe added that peace is a priceless ingredient for the accelerated development of a people, community, and society, he, therefore, called for the sustenance of peace across Gombe state.

Also speaking during the workshop Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya who was represented by the Commissioner of Justice and Attorney general of the state, Barrister Zubairu Muhammad Umar, Express his satisfaction with the activities and services of the organization which according to the Sunnah of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

He reiterated that progressive growth and development made by nations, states, and regions could not be unconnected with the peaceful disposition of the people, tranquility, and harmony, which he said is inherent in the Gombe state.

In his speech His Royal Highness the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar the third who was represented by The (Danlawan) of Gombe Dr. Sani Jauro describe JIBWIS as an extraordinary ISLAMIC Organization Spreading Education and supporting the needy in the community, he urged the Islamic scholars to preach peace during this Year’s Ramadan TAFSIR.

Papers presented during the workshop were “TAFSIR MAUDI’IH” by Professor Rasheed AbdulGaniyu from Gombe State University Department of Islamic Studies and “Modern Financial Inclusions in Islam” by Malam Abdullahi Abubakar Lamido.

Participants were drawn from the eleven local governments of the state.
