The state coordinator, standard organization of Nigeria,S O N,Mr Yakzum James Danlami has presented a mandatory conformity assessment certificates and ogo to five deserves companies in the state.
Roll speaking at presentation ceremony at conference hall of the Federal sectariat Gombe,the coodinator said maintaining the ideal quality of products is paramount and among the statutory and regulatory responsibilities of the organization.
He said the five recipient of the certificates are indigenous that undergoes rigorous processes of inspection and quality assurance,and also demonstrated compliance to the relevant standard, which have been adjudge by the standard organization of Nigeria,S O N.
Mr Yakzum James Danlami reiterated that the certificates given to five companies is valid for a period of thee years from the date of issuance and also subject to constant continuous assessment of their products.
He advised the awardees to affixed the,MANCAP logo on the packaging material of their products,as well as their distribution vehicles.
The SON coodinator also revealed that the organization has developed a standard for the Muslims Ummah, called halal standard which its rules are based on Islamic law and safety for consumers.
Mr Yakzum James Danlami added that the state office of SON has commented the effort of the state governor Alhaji Mohammad Inuwa yahaya for the tremendous innovation in the ongoing construction of an industrial park which is a milestone not only in the north east alone,but in Nigeria as a whole.
Speaking to news men shortly after the event,the representative of the construction company engineer Lateef Abbot,and that of bottle water malam AbubakarAdamu. Pledged to maintain standard in all their products to for the benefit of consumers.
