STRIKE: NLC CLAMP DOWN ON VIOLATORS IN ADAMAWA.

A high-powered task force mandated by the Nigeria Labour Congress in Adamawa state has embarked on enforcement of the 2-day warning strike declared by the National Secretariat.

The team led by the Vice-chairman, Comrade Usman Babbada has the ‘SMG’ State monitoring Group and leaders of some affiliates of the NLC.

The Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) was the first to locked up the two High Court Complexes forcing the Election Petitions Tribunal in Adamawa to even suspend delivering judgements.

The enforcement team stormed state secretariat where workers were chased out while some permanent secretaries were engaged on “gentle dialogue” to leave so as not to be embarrassed.

Our reporter who covered the monitoring team observed that the permanent secretaries and some top civil servants were told that it is a national course to press home workers and citizens demand considering the prevailing hardship biting the people across the nation.

Banks were not left out as they were forced to shutdown transactions while motor Parks were also asked to disembarked passengers from vehicles.

The state Chairman of NLC Comrade Emmanuel Fashe had earlier briefed the team not to molest or maltreat violators but explain to them on the need to understand the mission.

The NEC in season of the NLC during it’s last meeting on Thursday 31 August directed it’s affiliates to down tools for a 2-day warning strike,a signal that Nigeria economy will be totally shutdown after 14 or 21 day if the Federal Government fail to meet up it demands.
