Adamawa state government has suspended with immediate effect the activities of all health private schools in the state that were not duly accredited.
This was revealed by the Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at a news briefing at the government house shortly after a closed door meeting with the heads of tertiary institutions in the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said the decisions reached during the meeting will help in strengthening and repositioning the higher institutions of learning in the state for efficient productivity.
Some of the decisions reached during the meeting include moving the school of nursing and midwifery to the ministry of Health for proper coordination and professionalism.
“Government has also prescribe from today all colleges or schools that are health related that have not been accredited have been prescribed by the government until otherwise if they certain by the ministry of health”
Governor Ahmadu Umaru said the college of health technology Michika will be move to michika immediately, with a call to the communities to support the school while government is assuring that all the necessary requirements for the expansion and provision of students’ accommodations will be made.
According to the governor a high powered visitation panel team had been set up during the meeting to visit college of Agriculture Ganye to reposition it for optimal performance.

Governor Fintiri expressed satisfaction with all the decisions made during the meeting, adding that ideas brought to the table would help to position and strengthen the higher institutions of learning in the state for optimal performance available in the twenty first century.
