The Adamawa state executive council has approved over four hundred and twenty million naira for the emergency Procurement of ten, seventy two seater buses
The council made the approval during its 10th meeting presided over by the executive Governor of the state , Ahnadu Umaru Fintiri at the council chamber government house yola.
The Commissioner for information and strategy Neido Geoffrey Kufoltu who disclosed the outcome of the meeting to newsmen shortly after said the approval for the emergency procurement of 10, 72 seater buses is to cushion the effect of subsidy removal on students.
The buses which is to be procured by Vokna investment and real estate Abuja, is expected to be supplied within seven days and will be used to convey students within the metropolis to make going to school easier and cheaper.
The information Commissioner said the decision was borne out of the success recorded by fresh air transportation reeled out to offer cheaper and affordable transportation to citizens.
