Supreme Court Judgement: Adamawa State Deputy Governor give thumbs up to judiciary.

Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, has hailed the judiciary for delivering justice in the Adamawa state governorship election legal tussle.

 

Professor Kaletapwa Farauta made this known while reacting to the ruling of the supreme court, affirming governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, as the duly elected governor of Adamawa state in the March, 2023 governorship polls.

 

The Apex court which sat in Abuja on Wednesday dismissed the appeal filled by APC and its governorship candidate senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani challenging governor Fintiri’s victory at the governorship polls in 2023.

 

The Supreme Court dismissed the petition filled by Senator Binani due to what it described as lack of merit.

 

Professor Farauta, expressed gratitude to God, stressing that the affirmation of governor Fintiri has proven that the Judiciary is the last hope of the common man.

 

The deputy governor noted that all the legal wranglings around the state and beyond have been put to rest emphasizing that it is now time for governance, calling on all stakeholders and the citizens to cooperate with governor Fintiri to deliver more dividends of democracy and consolidate on the good governance the people of Adamawa state are already enjoying.

 

She pointed out that more developmental projects are on the way, thanking the masses for their courage, resilience and solidarity.

 

Professor Kaletapwa, also acknowledged the role played by media in advancing government policies and programmes, urging them to sustain the spirit of professionalism in their reportage.
