The Emir of Gombe, Abubakar Shehu Abubakar the Third, has commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for what he described as seven years of impactful governance and unprecedented development across the State.
The commendation came during the traditional Sallah homage paid by the Emir and members of the Gombe Emirate Council to the Governor at the Government House in Gombe.
Receiving the royal delegation, Governor Inuwa Yahaya reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining peace, unity, and development in the state.
He assured citizens that the achievements recorded over the past seven years would be protected and consolidated for the benefit of present and future generations.
The Governor thanked the Emir for his continued support and for publicly acknowledging the numerous development projects executed by the administration.
He noted that the cordial relationship between government and traditional institutions has contributed significantly to peace, stability, and progress in the state.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya said his administration has recorded visible achievements across all sectors despite limited resources and pledged continued prudent management of available resources to improve the wellbeing of the people.
Earlier, the Emir of Gombe described the annual Sallah homage as an important tradition that promotes respect for constituted authority and strengthens the bond between government and the people.
The monarch noted that Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s seven years in office have witnessed remarkable transformation in infrastructure, security, education, healthcare, economic development, environmental management, and urban renewal.
He cited landmark projects including the Three-Arms Zone, Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park, Agro-Livestock Development Zone, major road projects, water expansion schemes, mega schools, healthcare facilities, and the state’s first underpass as evidence of the administration’s developmental strides.
The Emir also praised the establishment of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, saying it has strengthened the state’s security architecture and helped maintain peace across Gombe State.
He pledged the continued support of the Gombe Emirate and called on citizens to cooperate with government in promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development.
