The Gombe state ACRESAL project coordinator added that the students are UNICEF ambassadors and fresh brains and minds that think positively to convey the message of ecological protection to their friends and relatives.

UNICEF official Mr. Clement Adams says all hands must be on deck for overcoming environmental challenges as protecting the environment is the responsibility of all

The commissioner of education Gombe state professor Aishatu Maigari explains that the Ministry of Education finds it necessary to step into the tree planting campaign as nowadays children are not fully aware of the climate changes due to environmental degradation.

Aishatu Maigari further said the collaboration is to find out the level of students’ understanding of climate change and the way forward on environmental protection within their environs.

Malam Usman Shehu Usman from DW applauded the role played by the media on farmers’ and herders’ settlements in Nigeria.

G.G. DOMA emerged first in the quiz competition while GDSS GANDU and Science II emerged second and third respectively.
