The Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board, ADSUBEB has increased the monthly feeding Allowance for students of Jada Special School from Three Hundred Thousand Naira (300,000) to One Million seven hundred and six thousand naira monthly.
The Special Education Desk Officer of the Board, Hajiya Asmau Ahmed Isa who disclosed this to newsmen said this was achieved following the presentation of the problems confronting the Jada Special School by Wadata Media and Advocacy Centre, WAMAC in a popular Fulfulde Anti Corruption Programme Gite Perdo of Fombina FM Radio Yola. Wadata Media and Advocacy Centre is being supported by MacArthur Foundation.
Hajiya Asma’u urged the Management of the school to ensure prudent spending of the increased amount towards improving welfare of the students and learning activities.
On his part, the Head Teacher of the School, Mallam Usman Bangari Aliyu Jada promised to use the funds for the purpose intended and judiciously.Malm Aliyu Jada also said that the school Management had repaired the school water thanker supplying water for the students.
He further said that with this development, three daily square meals for the special students of the school will be guaranteed.A student , Ahmadu Adamu also thanked the State Government for increasing their feeding allowance.
