Wife of Adamawa State Governor Organizes Debate Competition to Tackle Bullying of Female Students

In continuation of the celebration of the sixteen days of activism to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls in the state, the wife of the Adamawa State governor, Hajiya Lami Fintiri, has organized a debate competition among students.

The competition focuses on the topic of bullying of the female gender.

The goal of the competition is to raise awareness about gender based issues and promote the rights of women and girls in the state.

Participants in the debate competition are students from various secondary schools in Adamawa State.

The schools engage in discussions on the topic of bullying accepted by male teachers towards female students.

The event aims to showcase the intelligence and talent of young girls in the state and encourage them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

Hajiya Lami Fintiri believes that by empowering girls and giving them a platform to express themselves, they can become change agents in their communities and contribute positively to the development of society.

The principal of Karewa Senior Secondary School, Mr. Samari Jimson, expressed appreciation for the initiative aimed at shaping students’ minds on bullying in schools, enabling them to speak out for solutions.

The Senior Special Adviser on Media to the wife of the governor, Mr. Ishaya Bitrus, stated that the debate competition is just one of the many initiatives organized by the Fresh Air Pro Life Empowerment Foundation to promote gender equality and empower women and girls in Adamawa State.

Government Day Secondary School Karewa emerged in first place, followed by Government Day Secondary School Bekaji in second place.
