Women Empowerment: Adamawa State government receives commendation.

Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has urged women to be role models at all times because of their roles and responsibilities in the society.

Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, gave the advice during the 28th National annual conference and the 8th Workshop of the Association of Women in Colleges of Education North East held at the Federal College of Education, Yola.

The Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta explained that women should be truthful, accountable as they do their jobs effectively.

According to her, the government of Adamawa State is an inclusive government, that has carried women along in the scheme of things in the state.

She therefore reminded Women that wherever they find themselves as leaders, they should know that the world is watching.

Also Speaking, the Chairman of the occasion who is also the Provost College of Education Hong, Professor Benson Yusuf Baha stressed the need to encourage more women to participate in the development of the state and the country at large.

The grand Patron of the Association, Professor Paulinus Chijioke urged women to promote excellent work, ethics and imbibe the culture of creativity and inclusivity.

In a remark, the National President of the Association of Women in Colleges of Education, Professor Theresa Okoli, urged the members of the association to promote quality teaching profession and peaceful learning atmosphere.

She added women should strive to contribute their quota for the betterment of the colleges of education, teacher education.

The theme for the Workshop was “political ideology and national economy; the quest for sustainable development in Nigeria.
