Adamawa state government has reiterated its commitment towards strengthening the health sector in the state.
This was made known by the Permanent Secretary Adamawa state ministry of health, Dr. Lina Markus Ndanah during the distribution of hospital equipment to various General and Cottage hospitals in the state, which took place at the Specialist Hospital Yola.
Dr. Linah Markus Ndanah said the health sector is one of the priorities of the Governor Ahmadu UMaru Fintiri’s led administration hence the need for this effort to distribute more equipment for more productivity in the sector.
Dr.Linah said the distribution was based on needs of each hospital because that will help in allocating desired equipment to the right hospital.
According to him government will ensure proper security mechanisms are put in place for proper utilization of these equipment as supplied.
The Chief Medical Director, Yola Specialist Hospital, Dr. Wasinga Dauda also explained that the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s led administration has been doing a lot in ensuring that the health sector becomes stronger and more reliable, and that informed the reason for the supply of the equipment as well as upgrade to modern facilities in hospitals across the state.
Dr. Wadinda said the health sector in the state is becoming more stronger and reliable because of its relevance to both the government and the citizens of the state.
He therefore commended the Fintiri led administration for the continues fulfilment of its campaign promises, as well as called on the citizens to always visit government own hospitals and also help in safeguarding its equipment for the growth and development of the state.
