About Fifty youths from Yamaltu Deba federal constituency of Gombe state benefited from a two-day workshop on capacity building in the application of artificial intelligence, AI, in new media.
The workshop which was officially opened on Wednesday, the 20th of September 2023 was organized by the member representing Yamaltu Deba federal constituency, Mohammad Inuwa Garba, in collaboration with the Center for Innovation and Training.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mohammad Inuwa Garba, represented by Malam Hassan Mohammad Hassan, emphasized that the workshop would particularly target social media influencers.
He noted that these influencers could leverage the knowledge gained from the workshop to go beyond ordinary political posts, as in today’s modern information technology landscape, explaining that social media influencers can earn a livelihood through computer education.
Commending the member’s efforts towards transforming the local youths into the world of information technology, participants were urged to effectively apply the knowledge they acquired.
One of the facilitators at the training, Suleiman Mohammed Kime, highlighted the timeliness of this initiative, considering the increasing prominence of information technology in global information dissemination.
Mohammed Kime, assured that participants would receive ample knowledge to become self-reliant.
Some participants, including Akilu Gyara Saa and Barsheba Usman, expressed their gratitude to the member, emphasizing that the training would significantly shape their future in the technological sphere.
Among those who spoke at the training was Alhaji Adamu Chika Soro, the PDP chairman of Yamaltu Deba local government, who expressed satisfaction with Mohammad Inuwa Garba’s representation.
He mentioned that after the training, the participants would receive additional facilities.
