The First Lady of Adamawa State, Lami Fintiri, has demonstrated her kindness by distributing food items to inmates in three correctional centers in Yola, ahead of Christmas.
The items were distributed at the Yola New Medium Correctional Centre, Yola Old Correctional Centre, and Yola North Correctional Centre.
Representing the First Lady, Mrs. Sapwavi Pwamwakeno Makendo, wife of the Member of the House of Assembly, explained that this gesture aims to celebrate with the vulnerable and prayed for the inmates’ successful reintegration into society upon release.
Deputy Controllers Musa Usman, Hussaini Tahir and unit commander Auwal Usman expressed gratitude to the First Lady, describing her as a role model.
An inmate also thanked her, promising to be a good ambassador.
