Adamawa state Gov host Bishops of Lutheran Church of Christ

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has task Bishops of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria LCCN to encourage their followers to be patient with the current economic situation in Nigeria.


Governor Fintiri gave the task when he received the body of the men of God who paid him a congratulatory visit at the government house yola.


Governor Fintiri said the issue of hunger and anger in the society are well understood by his government and he is not resting on his oars in ensuring good and quality leadership.


The governor said the Fresh Air 2.0 new phase of his administration has been launched to address the preveilling situation.


He said he has been working tirelessly with his team in ensuring that they come up with the best sustainable ways to address the needs of the people.


The governor added that he will not take the opportunity to serve the people of Adamawa State for granted as Palliatives and modalities to cushion the effects of the current economic situation is on the way.


According to him, government is working to ensure that prices of food items drops in the soonest possible time.


The governor said his administration has started with the disbursement of “quality fertilizer directly to famers through the Local government areas saying this will be made available to famers at affordable price and would hopefully affects fertilizer prices in the market.


He equally expressed dismay over the recent looting in the state by hoodlums, while calling on the Bishops to speak to the people to shun any kind of lawlessness as his administration will not condone it.


The governor added that his administration will be creating an ICT hub in the State to support youths’ innovations in the state and also serve as a source for jobs creations.


Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the president of the Bishop’s Council of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Arch Reverend Musa Panti Filibus said the Bishops we’re at the government house to congratulate the governor for his successful reelection for the second term as the governor of the state.


Arch Reverend Panti Filibus said the Bishops appreciated the governor’s remarkable achievements during the first tenure.


They equally encouraged the governor to face the multifaceted challenges head on in order to set the state on the right path to a better future and also ensure that all communities are carried along.
