Adamawa state Government says, it will continue to support the Nigeria Armed forces in its efforts to safeguarding the territorial integrity of the country.
Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated this while speaking to newsmen after observing a special Friday prayer to commemorate the celebration of 2024 Armed Forces remembrance day at the Nigeria Airforce Base, 103 strike group, Yola.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who was represented by the Head of Service, Isa Shehu Ardo during the solemn prayer said the state government has appreciated the efforts of the Nigerian Armed forces in securing the country, emphasizing that their efforts have contributed immensely in attaining peace and stability both within and outside the country.
While calling on the citizenry to cooperate with security agencies at all times, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri assured the Nigeria Armed forces of the state government’s support at all times in order to help them carry out their responsibilities of protecting the territorial integrity of the country.
He therefore prayed for the souls of the fallen heroes and consoled with their families,stating that their effort was not in vain as the country now enjoyed the peace and stability the fought for.
Earlier in his sermon, the chief Iman of the Nigeria air Force 103 strike base jumma’at mosque, flight lieutenant Sadiq Abdullahi said the Nigerian army’s welfare must be prioritized in order to enable them put in their best.
He called on civilians to always cooperate with security operatives especially those at the checking points who are there to ensure that no harmful object or persons move around communities.
He called on all to pray for the fallen heroes who have sacrificed their lives in protecting the nation as well as those in active service safeguarding the peace and security of the people of the state and the country at large.
He equally prayed for the Fintiri led administration in its continued efforts to ensure that there’s peace and security in the state.
