Adamawa State government relaxes curfew, now 12 pm to 6am.

Adamawa State Government has further relaxed the curfew imposed on residents of Yola North, Yola South, Girei and Numan Local Government Areas.

 

The curfew according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,Humwashi Wonosikou said it will now hold between 12 midnight and 6am across the affected four Local Councils.

 

According to the statement , People are free to move around from 6am to midnight.

 

However, the statement said operations of Keke Napep will be allowed only from 6am to 10pm until further notice.

 

Governor Fintiri said there is the need for the people to continue to talk and advice each other, especially those who are still using the social media to instigate criminality, saying they should desist from doing that or face the wrath of Law.

 

The governor further appealed for the cooperation of residents of the affected areas to maintain Security, Law and Order,

 

While urging the citizenry to abide by directives of the Government in order to maintain Law and Order, the governor said security agencies will continue to mount checkpoints and carry out stop- and search.

 

The Governor had imposed the curfew on Sunday, the 30th of Jully 2023 following looting at Government Warehouses perpetrated by hoodlums.
