Adamawa state governor Urges Special Advisers to take their appointment seriously.

Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri urges all political appointees to take their appointments seriously for the overall development of the state.

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri made this known during the swearing in ceremony of salihu Zumo as special adviser designate, in an event which took place in his office at the government house yola.

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said human capital development has been the topmost priority of his administration, hence the need for the experience of people like Salihu Zumo to step in and assist the government in order to succeed.

 

 

“We have to take this job seriously and discharge our duties seriously”

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru fintiri said his administration is very serious in ensuring that the people of Adamawa state have been taken to the next level of greatness, adding that his administration has made a remarkable achievements since it inception five years ago.

 

 

“When we came five years ago we know the kind of system we made, five years down the line , we’ve known how far we’ve taken our people with a lot of tremendous achievements”

 

 

According to the Governor, these efforts have been yielding positive results as the state is now ranked second on the WAEC and NECO list contrary to the thirty three position the state occupied when his administration came into power five years ago, an improvement he pledged to reach all the sectors of the state for its development and progress.

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who described Salihu Zumo as the darling of his people and the people of Adamawa state, urged him to come on board with his wealth of experience in order to add to the existing value and successes recorded so as to achieve the desired Adamawa state for all.

 

 

While congratulating the special adviser on his appointment, the governor use the opportunity to called on him to eschew corruption as this administration has put in place processes that ensure corrupt practices does not have a breathing space as it work towards the development of the state and its people.

 

 

Responding, the special adviser thanked the governor for the opportunity given to him to serve the good people of Adamawa state, pledging that he will put in his best for the success of this administration.

 

 

Oath of office was administered by the attorney general and commissioner for justice, Barristar Afraimu Jingi.

 

 

The brief ceremony which took place at the governor’s office has in attendance the secretary to the state government, Auwal Tukur and the chief of staff, doctor Edgar Emos amongst others.
