As the sixteen days of activism to end violence against women and girls continues in the state, the wife of the Adamawa State governor, Hajiya Lami Umaru Fintiri, has shown her support for survivors of gender-based violence by expressing love and solidarity with them.
The wife of the governor received the survivors at the government house and celebrated with them.
Hajiya Lami Fintiri said it is a tradition especially as the world celebratie 16 days of activism for her to offer a helping hand and sympathize with those in difficult situations in Adamawa
She called on the survivors and their parents to always report any cases of abuse on their girls in order to prevent such occurrences in the future.
The wife of the governor encouraged the survivors to be themselves and pursue their dreams with determination.
The parents of the survivors expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the gesture and thanked the wife of the governor for remembering them in her activities.
Cash donations, wrappers, bags of rice, and cartons of spaghetti were distributed to them.
