Adamawa state government has reaffirmed to continue supporting the Nigerian Army in its efforts to secure the territorial integrity of the country.
Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after jumaat prayer at the Gibson Jalo cantonment to commemorate the 2025 armed forces remembrance day.
Represented by the Head of Service, Pharmacist Isa Ardo, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri the state government is aware of the sacrifices made by the men of the Nigeria armed force in ensuring there is peace in the country in order to remain one.
The governor praised their efforts and commitment which served as a bedrock for businesses and other day to day activities to thrive.
He therefore assured that the state government will continue to support the armed forces in carrying out its activities efficiently.
Speaking on the relevance of the day, the chief Imam of Gibson Jalo cantonment , Captain Ali Algurawi Ismail said the day was set aside to celebrate the fallen heroes who sacrifice their lives for the country to remain as one.
Ismail in his sermon, preached about the rewards attached to security services, citing surah and hadith to explained how pleased Allah swt is with the person who stay awake keeping guard in order to ensure that no harm get to the people.
Also the chief Imam of Nigeria Airforce barrack yola, flight lieutenant Abdulkareem said the armed forces will continue to pray for the fallen heroes and as well celebrate the gallant who are in different war fronts fighting to restore peace and normalcy in the county.
