The success of Adamawa State’s 2026 Hajj operation reflects the power of visionary leadership, effective coordination, and genuine concern for pilgrims’ welfare. Central to this achievement was the foresight of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, in appointing HRM Dr. Ali Danburam, MBBS, FWACP, FRCP, FCCP (Edin), FIHMN, FCIPAG, Ptil Madagali, as Amirul Hajj.

Throughout the pilgrimage, Dr. Ali Danburam demonstrated humility, accessibility, and unwavering commitment to the spiritual and physical well-being of pilgrims. His leadership, combined with the support of the Acting Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Salihu Wakilin Gurin, and other members of the delegation, ensured a smooth and successful Hajj exercise.

Among the notable achievements were the provision of accommodation within convenient distance of Masjid Al-Haram, continuous guidance on Hajj rites, efficient welfare and medical services, and strong collaboration among all stakeholders. The team also benefited from the expertise of Dr. Bashir Imam Aliyu, whose extensive experience in Saudi Arabia contributed significantly to operational success.

The 2026 Hajj exercise was distinguished by a culture of compassion, professionalism, and proactive service. Pilgrims consistently reported receiving timely support and personal attention whenever challenges arose.

More than an operational success, the exercise demonstrated how sincere leadership, teamwork, and accountability can produce outstanding results. As one pilgrim remarked, “This year felt different; we felt supported at every stage of the journey.”

The 2026 Adamawa Hajj delegation comprised HRM Dr. Ali Danburam as Amirul Hajj, Justice Hapsat Abdulrahman Adamu as Deputy Amirul Hajj, Dr. Umar Garba Pella and Dr. Bashir Imam Aliyu as members, and Alhaji Sa’ad Iliyasu Mailafiya as Secretary.

As the pilgrims prepare to return home, the 2026 Hajj will be remembered as a defining chapter in Adamawa’s pilgrimage history. We pray that Almighty Allah rewards all those who contributed to its success, grants them good health and long life, and accepts the Hajj of all pilgrims.

Hajj Mabrur to all Adamawa pilgrims.
