The Supreme Leader of the Mumuye Nation and former Governor of Taraba State, Reverend Jolly Nyame, has called on Mumuye sons and daughters to remain obedient to constituted authorities in order to promote unity and accelerate development.

Reverend Nyame made the call during the maiden edition of the Mumuye Stakeholders Strategic Summit held in Jalingo.

According to Reverend Nyame, if the Mumuye nation embraces love, unity, and peaceful coexistence, the much-needed development in the area will become a reality.

Also speaking, the governorship candidate of the ACCORD Party, Professor Jerome Nyameh, stressed that the growing unity recently witnessed among the Mumuye people would yield positive results in the 2027 general elections.

Participants at the summit, who came from Ardo-Kola, Bali, Gashaka, Gassol, Jalingo, Lau, Yorro, and Zing Local Government Areas, as well as five other local government areas in Adamawa State, identified sectional and religious sentiments, lack of unity and love, government exclusion after elections, and traditional and land conflicts as some of the factors responsible for the underdevelopment of Mumuye land.
