Fire outbreak has destroyed about one thousand nine hundred bags of grains worth millions of Naira at the popular grains market in Gombi local government area of Adamawa state.
This was revealed when Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri paid a sympathy visit to the grains Market.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri explained that the fire incident that occurred in Gombi grains Market has not just affected traders, but the entire people of Adamawa State.
Governor Fintiri recalled that Similar incident happened closed to Federal College of Education in Yola, where he told the people to be careful, stressing that this is a dry and harmattan season and fire can easily spread.
The Governor also visited the palace of the district head of Gombi, Usman Ibrahim Sarkinfada to sympathize with him and his subjects and prayed God to forestall future occurrence.
Responding, the district head of Gombi, Usman Ibrahim Sarkinfada, thanked the government of Adamawa state for identifying with them in such difficult moment.
He therefore applauded the good works championed by Governor Fintiri in all sectors of human endeavor.
About nineteen shops were razed down on Thursday evening by fire outbreak in Gombi town of Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
