Dangote Sugar Company to offer more scholarships to host communities in Adamawa State.

The management of Dangote sugar Refineries Numan has reaffirmed its commitment to improve the standard of living of its host communities.

 

 

This was made known by the Group General Manager Operations, Alhaji Bello Dan Musa, during a stakeholders’ engagement with the host communities which took place in Numan Adamawa State.

 

The Group General manager Operations, Bello Dan Musa, Said the essence of the stake holders’ meeting was to foster cordial relationship between the host communities, update the communities on the activities of the Dangote sugar refineries as well as listen to complaints and proffer solutions where necessary.

 

 

Dan Musa pointed out that all the promises made by Dangote sugar refineries including youth training and offer of scholarships have been fulfilled as some of the beneficiaries of the training have graduated while the   scholarship scheme is equally progressing, adding that there are plans for additional 160 candidates that will benefit from the Dangote Sugar Refinery scholarship in addition to the existing ones.

 

 

Bello Dan Musa Said the company has so far paid farmers under its out growers scheme more than five hundred million naira.

 

 

According to him, the company is also committed to strengthening the security architecture of some of the axis being plied by motorists in the area.

 

 

While conveying greetings from the chairman of the Dangote Group of companies, Alhaji Aliko Dangote , the Group Manager thanked the communities for cooperating with the company calling on them to continue to be patient with one another for a more fruitful relationship.

 

 

In their remarks, the district head of Lafiya , Clement Minakaro, the district head of Mbula, Afraimu Fwa, and the district head of Borrong, Chief Lawson Gadiel Nayina, all thanked the Dangote sugar refineries for organizing the stake holders’ meeting, which they said will go a long way in strengthening the relationship between the host communities and the company.

 

 

while calling on the youths to take advantage of the trainings and scholarships being offered by the Dangote Sugar Company, the traditional leaders called on all people in the host communities to live in peace with one another and give the company the needed support.

 

 

The meeting had in attendance district heads, ward heads, women and youth leaders from Numan, Lamurde, Demsa, Guyuk and Shelleng local government areas.
