The Committee on Health and human services of the Gombe state house of assembly has paid an oversight function at the Gombe state Hospital management Board.
Speaking at the Agency, the chairman of the committee Siddi Buba Said the purpose of the Visit is to enable the committee to familiarize itself with it’s activities which is the responsibility of overseeing the activities of all health care agencies in the state as contained in the Nineteen- Ninety Nine constitution sub section one, two and three.
Siddi Buba also sort for the support and cooperations of the agency to enable the house committee discharge it’s constitutional responsibilities such as oversight functions and budget estimates preparations.
Responding the executive secretary Gombe state hospital management Board Dr. Lawan Bala intimated the house committee that the history of the Agency can not be completed without mentioning the Gombe state house of assembly as it is the house that gave approval and recommendation for the establishment of the Agency.
Dr.Lawan Bala said the Board has Twenty -Three health facilities and over one thausands staff who were promoted and upgraded.
The executive secretary Hospital management Board then assured members of the committee of their redness to partner for the continued success and promotion of health care services in the state.
