Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has commended President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Education for approving a dual mandate status for the Federal College of Education (FCE), Yola.
The governor gave the commendation while receiving the institution’s Governing Council at the Government House, Yola.

Fintiri described the approval, which empowers the college to award both the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and Bachelor’s Degrees, as a significant milestone.
He noted that the Tinubu-led administration has justified the confidence reposed in it by Nigerians in 2023 and deserves a second term in 2027.

Governor Fintiri also assured the institution of his administration’s continued support to strengthen education in Adamawa State and Nigeria at large.
Earlier, Chairman of the Governing Council, Engineer Sa’id Olajide Johnson, said the aim of the visit was to appreciate the Governor for his consistent support to the institution over the years.

Also speaking, Provost of the college, Dr. Muhammad Usman Degereji, said Governor Fintiri has remained supportive of the institution since assuming office as Governor of Adamawa State.
