Governor Fintiri calls for total support for PDP ahead of rerun election.

Ahead of the Saturday House of Assembly Re-run election in Mayo-Belwa constituency , Governor Ahmadu Umaru Funtiri said he anticipates block vote for the PDP candidate Musa Mahmud Kallamu.

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri made this known when he led some top government officials to Mayo-Belwa local government area to canvass for votes for the PDP candidate in the rerun election.

 

Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta who led the delegation on behalf of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri tasked electorate in the seven polling units where the re-run election will be conducted to vote for PDP and its candidate Musa Mahmud Kallamu at the polls.

 

He urged the electorate to avoid any act capable of jeopardizing the chances of have a credible and transparent election, advising them to be patient and conduct themselves peacefully.

 

Governor Fintiri, emphasized that the PDP led administration in the state has provided dividends of democracy to the people and this is the time for the electorate to reciprocate the gesture through their votes.

 

The Speaker, Adamawa State House of assembly, Bathiya Wesley and the secretary to the state government Barrister Auwal Tukur also emphasized the need to vote and support PDP as it continues to deliver more dividends of democracy.

 

They reiterated that Kallamu is a symbol of good representation who has been tested and trusted, hence the show of solidarity by the government of Adamawa state.

 

The state PDP chairman represented by his vice Stephen Doma in his remarks emphasized that PDP is a party that has the interest of the people at heart.

 

He expressed commitment to deliver PDP, encouraging the candidate to sustain the good leadership qualities he has been known for which according to him is a clear replica of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri giant strides.

 

The PDP candidate Musa Mahmud Kallamu thanked the governor for his support, expressing commitment to deliver if given the mandate.

 

Kallamu noted that working for the interest of the Adamawa people is the ultimate goal, and will not compromise the vision and mission of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri when elected as member.

 

The House of Assembly election conducted in March, 2023 ended in the court and

after parties involved presented their cases, the court declared the election inconclusive for and for rerun election to occupy the Mayo-Belwa seat in the state assembly.

 

The rerun election is scheduled for Saturday 3rd February, 2024.
