Lawmaker charged Nigerians desist from vote buyin

Nigerians have been urged, to desist from vote buying,and other criminal acts during elections.
Member representing Bunkure constituency, Alhaji Muhammad Uba Gurjiya gave the advise in kano.
According to the lawmaker, credible elections would pave way for the development of Kano state and country in the areas of education, health, agriculture, security, electricity among others.
He noted that, eligible voters have a vital role to play by casting their votes for the right person during elections, to uplift the standards of living among people.
He maintained that, quality leadership at all levels, would promote peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding, which is at the fore front of a democratic society.
He highlighted that, the Characteristics of leadership are experience, knowledge and legitimacy for the growth and development of the nation, where leaders in the post-independence era were not aged, but youth driven by patriotism in their agitation for good governance.
The lawmaker decried that, the current leadership has delayed youths participation and representation in modern-day politics, with financial hindrance to contesting elections.
