The need for christian youth to shun sin has again been stressed.
Reverend Gadiel Amana stated this during his sermon to mark the end of annual youth week program held at Salvation Lutheran church Yola town.
The clergy explained that to arise is to stand up and shine .
He also admonished youth to be prayerful so that they will keep on shining in the Vineyard of God.
Also speaking ,the guest speaker, Rev Hosea Ali who said for youth to shine ,he or she must pass through challenges of life, stressing that only those that know God will stand firm.
He further said as a young person ,you are coming from a foundation, adding that nothing can take the light from shining.
Also speaking,the commission of youth fellowship Mr David Edward who encourage youth to wake up from their slumber nothing that the youth need to work on themselves as to be great in all they do.
He also said the youth are the children, calling on them to shine like star of the Almighty God.
Earlier ,the president of the youth fellowship Mr Monday Bala called on youths to live a life of Christ that will attract people closer to God.
He further said youths need to come together and unite themselves and worship God so as to live a life of Christ.
The theme for this year annual youth week is Arise and shine.
