RETIRED FRCN NEWS DIRECTOR HUSSEINA AKILA MARKS 60TH BIRTHDAY AT THANKSGIVING SERVICE.

A thanksgiving service commemorating the 60th birthday of retired Director of News, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Husseina Akila, has been held with a call on Nigerians to deploy their talents, time, and resources to the service of God and humanity.

 

The call was made by Reverend Habila Dauda of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Garki District, Abuja, who officiated at the service.

Speaking during the event, Reverend Dauda reminded Christians that everyone would give an account of their deeds on the Day of Judgment.

 

He urged believers not to be ashamed of proclaiming Christ in their places of work, but to live as worthy examples.

 

Reverend Dauda thanked God for the life of the celebrant, who spent 35 years serving the nation and uplifting the downtrodden. He further called on those in positions of authority to help alleviate the plight of the less privileged.

 

Describing Husseina Akila as a dedicated Christian, a lover of God’s work, and a dependable evangelist in the church vineyard, Reverend Dauda praised her commitment to faith and service.

 

In her remarks, the retired Director of News, Husseina Akila expressed gratitude to God for granting her wisdom and courage to serve and excel throughout her 60 years. Visibly joyful, she thanked the church and all those who supported and prayed for her.

 

Friends and colleagues showered encomiums on Akila, praising her honesty, professionalism, love, and support for humanity.

 

The service, which featured praise and worship and a special Bible reading by the celebrant, was attended by colleagues in the pen profession, family members, friends, and well-wishers.
