Governor Fintiri receives Theater commander, promises partnership on Security

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reassured his Government’s commitment to support the Nigerian Armed Forces to stem the tide of insurgency and other crimes in the State and the Northeastern region of the country.

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri gave the assurance when he received the theater commander of operation hadin kai, Major General Gold Chibuisi and his entourage on Wednesday at Government House, Yola.

 

 

Governor Fintiri praised the Military for its role in strengthening the state’s security initiative, ensuring peace and unity across communities.

 

 

While commending the Theatre Commander for high level of discipline, the governor reassured him of the usual cooperation of the Government and People of Adamawa State in order to ensure a conducive environment is created for the security personnel to operate.

 

 

Governor Fintiri urged the Commander to rise to the challenge of battling crime in the North East region.

 

 

The Governor also pledged to sustain his administration’s support to security agencies until the State is made safe for its residents.

 

 

He said that his administration would not let down its guard, the government had enjoyed tremendous support in not only getting the various security agencies to buy into it new thinking, but also in practice, getting them to deploy enough security to ensure the protection of lives and property of the people of the state.

 

 

The Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Gold Chibuisi commended Governor Fintiri for his untiring support to the army in their efforts to root out crime and protect the country’s territorial integrity.

 

 

During the visit, the Theatre Commander was accompanied by the Brigade Commander and other top Military officers.
